“A world that is neither two dimensional nor three dimensional”
Born and raised in the Kunisaki Peninsula, Kayo Pattison was fascinated by the color and light of stained glass during her time in England. Now, with her British husband, two sons and dogs, she continues production in the Kunisaki Peninsula. The morning light shines into the studio. Colored glass pieces cut out following a draft. Even small pieces the size of fingernails are polished one by one. Glass pieces assembled like a puzzle are then glued together with copper tape or lead. The sun rises and sets, as her work awaits completion. As the stained glass in the kitchen is fills with light, the dogs start preparing for their walk.
